About Whole Person Development Programme (WPDP)
At HKBU, we aim to educate our students into Whole Persons. CIE places great emphasis on Whole Person Education (WPE) and we are committed to provide an environment with diverse opportunities for students to develop all aspects of their life. The CIE Student Development Center (SDC) understands that education is far more than just simply providing students with professional knowledge. This 3-year project will develop an effective instructional kit using an outcome-based approach to evaluate student growth and the qualitative and quantitative approaches. To design and monitor the implementation of the online platform and share with different stakeholders, the outcome-based approach can ensure better understanding and inform future student development service provision.
WPDP Award Scheme
To recognise students' active participation in holistic development through WPDP, Associate Degree Year 1 students are eligible to win our WPDP Award by completing 5 WPDP sessions in their first year of study. For the students who completed 8 sessions, they will receive a WPDP Star Award. All Associate Degree students are automatically enrolled for the Award Scheme. Students' attendance in WPDP sessions are recorded by the activity organizers. All winning students will be informed after the second semester.
About Whole Person Development Inventory (WPDI)
The Whole Person Development Inventory (WPDI) is a psychological assessment tool developed to measure whole development of students.
